Datacentre details
The Maxemail platform is implemented across two UK datacentres (A & B), located in North London and South London, with links to London Internet Exchange (LINX) for high-speed connection. The Uptime Tier III datacentres are in purpose-built facilities that offer a high level of redundancy to keep systems online. Datacentres are staffed 24 hours a day by experienced network engineers.

Maxemail network & infrastructure
- Data storage devices have the appropriate RAID configuration for their purpose, dual power supplies fed from separate sources, spare swappable drives and OS-level KVM access.
- Dedicated load-balanced firewalls with HA failover.
- Gigabit switching with redundancy allowing the system to be run in the event of failure.
- Load-balanced virtual host servers allowing any to be removed from the group with no loss of service.
- 3 database clusters for client data; each with a primary and replicated live server, with a third live replica in site B (see Platform SLA). Backup snapshots are stored to a separate server in site B, keeping hourly snapshots for 7 days and daily snapshots for 30 days.
- Email delivery is configured on a primary server with a secondary hot-spare with the same configuration for manual failover.
