Insight reports
Insight Reports allow the user to create a highly customised report covering a number of statistics across a selection of emails. This can then be viewed in the interface, saved directly as a PDF or emailed on a Schedule, which is particularly useful for management reports.
Insight Reports can be created in Navigation > Reporting by clicking the New Insight Report button on the toolbar.
The report is built using the displayed menu options:
- Content – Allows the user to add Headings and Text to the report.
- Report – Allows the user to add one or more statistical reports to the report.
- Preview – Allows the user to preview the report in its current saved state.
- Export – Allows the user to export the report in its current saved state.
The order of sections added to a report can be changed by clicking on the section title bar and dragging it to the required position.
Adding Headings and text
Select the desired option from the Content menu to add the item to the report. The content can be adjusted by clicking the settings icon on the item title bar.
Adding Reports
Click the Report menu tool and select the desired report type:
- Performance – Displays selected email statistics over a period of time, shown as a line graph.
- Comparison – Displays selected email statistics as a comparison table.
- Breakdown – Displays selected email statistics in breakdown form, as pie charts or funnel graphs.
Common Report Configuration
To configure any report information click the settings icon on the appropriate item title bar.
Most report items allow you to configure the selection of emails, tags and a date range. Some also allow further filtering by segment.
Data intersection
The report will only contain emails that match the selection and fall within the date range, if both are configured.
Performance Report
- Display values dictate the y-axis value. Actual uses the number of each email statistic. Percentage uses the percentage figure of each email statistic.
- Group Data selects the frequency at which the email statistics are grouped on the graph (Daily, Weekly, Monthly or yearly).
- Statistics – Select the statistics to be included on the report graph.
Comparison Data Report
- Page Size specifies how many rows of data to display on the comparison page (5, 10 or 15).
Breakdown Data Report
The breakdown report can display one or two 'Items' being a grid, a pie chart of a funnel graph. This allows a comparison of differing statistic selections or two representations of the same statistic selection.
- Number of Items – Select 1 to show a report for one set of statistics or 2 show a report for two sets of statistics.
- Item Types – Select the way the item is displayed, Grid, Funnel or Pie Chart.
- Data Sets – Only available if Number of Items is set to 2. Select whether to have each item use the same statistic selection or each to use differing selections
