Use Profile Field data in content

Adding the data held in a Profile Field into your content is done using a Content token. Maxemail will dynamically replace a token in the content with the correct value for each recipient at the point of rendering the email for them. So the First Name token in the content will be replaced for each recipient's own name, personalising the content for that individual.

Tokens can be:

• Built up using Maxemail's Token Editor
• Copied from the Profile Field in the Navigation Bar

Token Editor

The Token Editor makes adding tokens to your content easy. Available in both the Email Editor and Email Builder, simply click on the type of token you wish to add (in this case the Recipient token) and use the Token Editor to select the data you want.
Depending on the Field Type you will be given a number of options you can apply to the resulting value, such as uppercase, lowercase, number separator and date format.

Copied from Profile Field

Find the Profile Field in the Data Navigation Panel which contains the data you want and do either of the following:

• Click the Copy Token icon from the green section toolbar at the top of the panel
• Right click on the Profile Field and select Copy Token from the context menu

The token syntax is copied to your clipboard allowing it to be pasted where required into the content.
