SMS
This section of the User Guide will walk you through the process of creating and sending an SMS campaign including initial setup, importing your customer's SMS numbers, message editing and deployment.
Key Features
-
Configuration – SMS messages need to be set up to send from a number or a name. The choice has an impact on the opt-out message that is appended to every message.
-
Import Recipient Numbers – Getting started with SMS is easy, providing you already have your subscriber's mobile phone numbers. Data must be imported against an email address, to allow cross-channel campaigns.
-
Create Campaigns – Creating folders and new SMS messages follow the same simple process as creating emails.
-
Data – SMS automatically includes your Global Unsubscribe List and a new Global SMS Stop List to all messages, so you don't contact anyone who has previously opted out! Adding segments is also easy by selecting the chosen segment or recreating a new one.
-
Content – SMS messages are limited to text only. Content is subject to to character limits, but Maxemail will let you know message size as you start typing and if it will use more than one part per Recipient.
- Add Personalisation – Include profile information in your SMS messages, like the recipient's first name to make your messages more personalised.
- Track Links – Maxemail can track links in all of your SMS communications, allowing you to accurately report on your campaigns performance.
-
Test Sends – See your message on your own phone before you set it to approved for sending.
-
Scheduling – Now your messages will be delivered to your subscribers telling them about your important news. Winner!
-
Unsubscribe Handling – SMS messages are sent from a mobile number so that recipients can simply reply STOP to opt out from future communications. Maxemail will automatically add a short piece of text to the bottom of all SMS messages to explain how to opt out.
-
Reply Handling – Maxemail's SMS reply handler will allow you to receive email notification for all of the replies to your SMS and view each reply within the platform
